I'm Linda Huffman, and as Women's Minister, I want to welcome you to Summit Community Church. My husband Craig & I have been part of Summit for over 9 years, and I've been on staff for 8 of those.  I am so excited about all the ways we are growing women.  Check out what's going on and find a place to join us!  You can contact me at linda@summitcommunity.com.

  Women's Ministry Team

The Women's ministry team is available to help you find your place at Summit, find a safe place to share your heart, and to help you grow through a Discipleship or mentoring relationship.  The Leadership team also plans events such as the Christmas brunch and yearly women's retreat, which is at the end of February and other fun events throughout the year.  There are many opportunities for you to become involved in Women's Ministry.

The “S” Word 

This year our theme is submission. From submission

to God, to submission to parents, spouses, bosses, the government,

pastors and each other, we will be challenged to hear God’s heart and plan.

Using Linda Harris Smith's book

Submission Impossible 

“The double-dog-dare-ya digest on the non-gender related

issues of submission in the 6 main relationships of life”

We will be looking at the controversy

surrounding submission, the counterfeits

that look like submission on the outside

but are far from it in our hearts,

and the blessings that God

promises thru obedience.

Childcare for Wednesday AM

 

For this 10 week session the cost is $50 if paid on or before the first day of class.

 

After Sept. 3rd the cost is $60 for the semester or $6 per week.

Call Linda for registration forms or pick them up at the Children’s ministry table on Sunday.

New Ministries
New Moms Connection   If you are a mom with a new baby one year or younger, or about to have a baby, this ministry is for you. We meet the last Thursday of every month to either just connect with other women, do something fun or learn something to help us better parent our kids. For information please call Traci Watson @ 636.916.0764 Look for the specifics in the worship folder or here on the web. Bring a friend!	Seasoned Women   If you are in your late 40’s or older (you have been 39 for many years) wanting a connection with women your own age who are beyond the child years and /or you want to share life wisdom with younger women in the trenches this is for you. We will meet in mid September to look at God’s purpose and plan for this specific group of women. Read Titus 2 for more info. If you are interested please email or call Linda to be part of the “birthing” process of this ministry.

Heart Life Studies for personal growth by request
New Followers This is a five week study to help you find your way thru the bible, know for sure that you are “in Christ” and what it is to walk “with Christ”.	Basic Training Study 7 basic truths of Scripture to get a clear picture of the God, sin, salvation, forgiveness, the Holy Spirit and life in the Spirit. These basics will benefit everyone’s hearts and lives.	Spiritual Warfare Study different aspects of spiritual warfare and how to battle as a woman of God. If you are in a Base Camp please check with your leader about doing the study within your Base Camp family.
