Where does the trip go?
We will go to Zacapa, Guatemala.
When does the trip occur?
Typically at the end of June each year. We are currently looking to create a permanent date each year.
Does this trip occur with another organization?
The trip is organized by People for Missions (PFM). We will be ministering alongside church planting pastors in the mountainous region, the House of Hope (HOH) orphanage, and Zoe House. The website is www.peopleformissions.org
What can I expect on this mission trip?
During this trip, you will be doing a variety of things including construction, ministering to the people of HOH and Zoe House, and hiking to the mountains to minister to the indigenous people. The focus of this trip is to minister to the missionaries, people of Guatemala, and continue to build relationships.
What paperwork is involved for this mission trip?
There will be an application and release form for Summit and for PFM. PFM also requires one passport size picture.
What is the cost of this trip?
The trip is $1500 per a person (cost of plane ticket, lodging/food, building materials). This also includes a small additional cost to help with the Missions ministry to provide scholarships, buy materials, etc.
Do I need a passport?
Yes.
